If you are cosy by a fire somewhere, spare a thought for those huddled in doorways and those struggling to keep food on the table in the regions. South Australians are being called on to warm hearts and change lives this winter. The Sunday Mail Blanket Appeal – in partnership with the South Australian Country Women’s Association (SACWA) – is calling for entries for its Yarn for Good Competition.
Whether you are a master with the knitting needles, a crochet enthusiast, or a stitching novice, this competition is all about community connection – and raising funds for the Hutt St Centre, Catherine House and the SACWA emergency fund, for vulnerable people all around SA feeling the pinch this winter. South Australians are encouraged to gather in living rooms, community halls, schools and cafes to craft together, share a yarn and raise money for those doing it tough.
If you're not crafty, why not support someone who is by donating to their page or just donate in your own name! Every little bit helps to provide support to those who really need it!

THREE CATEGORIES TO ENTER
Crafters can enter their creations into one of three categories:
• Footy-related fun:

Cosy knits for the littlest ones including clothing and toys.
• Knick knacks:

The public can donate $2 to pick their favourite at the Show and help determine the People’s Choice winner.
