The SACWA Advocacy Team works with government, organisations, and businesses to advocate for change without political bias.​​

The Team also monitors proposed legislation or changes to current legislation being proposed by either State or Federal Governments which may impact the Association or its members. 

 

Currently SACWA Advocacy Team (which comprises 9 Team members) is advocating to increase doctors in rural/regional areas, to improve and repair jetties in rural/regional seaside locations, to improve State roads, to provide better internet connection in rural and regional areas and to improve telephone coverage to rural/regional areas.  Advocacy Team has recently made submissions to the Royal Commissioner on Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, and to the Senate enquiry on closing banks in rural/regional areas. Advocacy Team has also contacted organisations who provide NBN access, internet access, and medical services in rural/regional areas.
