Country Cafe Committee
The SACWA Country Café has been serving the patrons of the Royal Adelaide Show for over 75 years. Over 400 volunteers, from teenagers to octogenarians, both female and male staff the Country Café throughout Pre-Show and Show.
Famous for our scones, the SACWA Country Café freshly bakes and serves over 1000 a day. Beyond the scones, we also offer everything else from sandwiches and salads to desserts and coffee and not forgetting hot evening meals just like Nan used to make!
You can also find us working in collaboration with the Adelaide Central Market for pop-up Scone Days and cooking demonstrations, providing catering for Handicraft School and Government House Open Days.

Ably led by the 11 members of the SACWA Country Café Committee over 400 volunteers, female and male, staff the Country Café throughout Pre-Show and Show. And age is no barrier. Teenagers to octogenarians, willingly give their time and enormous energy for which SACWA is very much appreciative.
The SACWA Country Café Committee doesn’t just stop at the Show. You can also find us in collaboration with the Adelaide Central Market for pop-up Scone Days and cooking demonstrations, providing catering for Handicraft School and Government House Open Days and of course, as soon as one Royal Adelaide Show finishes, we’re busy planning and preparing for the next!
