Join in The Great Scone Guess at The Royal Show
The South Australian Country Women’s Association has been serving the patrons of The Royal Adelaide Show for over 75 years from the CWA Country Café at the showgrounds. Over 400 volunteers, both female and male, from teenagers to octogenarians, freshly bake and serve thousands of scones each day of The Show.
891 ABC Adelaide and the CWA have thrown out the challenge to South Australians to guess exactly how many scones will be baked during this year’s Royal Adelaide Show.
The SACWA will be baking and serving their legendary scones throughout the nine days of the event, and we want your best estimate as to the final tally. Guess the total number of scones they will make during the show to enter the competition. Drop by The ABC Stage at The Royal Show, cast your vote, and see if you can take home the grand prize!
What can you win? First prize: A hamper of SACWA goodies to enjoy, including jute shopping bag, cookbooks, collection of home-made jams, handy scone cutter, official SACWA Scone Mix and more. Plus, a selection of 891 ABC Adelaide merchandise. Runners up: One of five packets of SACWA Scone Mix for you to make your own batch of prize-winning scones.

Winners will be announced on-air on Monday 14 September on 891 ABC Adelaide Afternoons with Jo Laverty.
