SOCIAL ISSUES

South Australian Country Women's Association through their Social Issues Team, are to investigate the reported scheduled cuts to the State Government's Adult Re-entry Programs to Study at University and Secondary Schools.

Current Issues

Support the State Government response to the Murray-Darling Basin Plan to ensure water security for South Australia agriculture and environmental needs and to be kept informed of the outcome.

SACWA is to express its concerns to the Federal Government regarding the level of foreign investment in Australian farm industries and farm land. A Senate inquiry currently examinng the issues is likely to conclude that Australia's ability to control food supplies in the future will be undermined unless changes are made to foreign investment guidelines.
