Assistance
SACWA is proud to serve both rural and urban communities. Service to the country, through women, for women by women is still the vision of this Association.
Emergency Aid
SACWA provides assistance to families in need through the SACWA Emergency Aid Fund through recommendation from a Social Worker, Rural Counsellor or Association members.
SACWA uses every dollar raised for this purpose as it does not take out administation costs.
YOU CAN HELP: Donations of $2 or more are Income Tax Deductible if made to the SACWA EMERGENCY AID FUND

Grants are available to rural students of any age to continue or further their studies. Preliminary applications close on 15 December each year.
Phone 8332 4166 for application forms.
Assistance through Rural Counsellors or Social Workers
Applications in writing to the SACWA State Office may be made through Rural Counsellors or Social Workers. Seek help through these agencies.
Baby Bundles
Baby Bundles are provided through Social Workers in hospitals to those in need of this help. This project is partially funded from the Emergency Aid Fund (for the purchase of baby clothes) and partly by beautiful handmade garments, rugs and toys, supplied through the generosity of members.
Feel free to call into 30 Dequetteville Terrace KENT TOWN SA to see an example of this very worthwhile project.

Baby Booties
Where hospitals agree to assist, a pair of hand knitted booties is presented to new born babies.
